Dick's Sporting Goods is once again a proud sponsor of Northern Lights Baseball & Softball Association. As a part of this sponsorship they are holding a league appreciation day for Northern Lights families on February 25th. On that day all Northern Lights families will receive 15% off everything they buy - and we mean everything! In addition to this, you can get 10% off everything related to baseball or softball. Just click on the two links below for the 15% and 10% off coupons. Again - the 15% off coupon is only valid on 2/25/12, but the 10% coupon is valid all season long!
There is also a flyer here with more details and an additional 15% off everything in the store http://files.leagueathletics.com/Text/Documents/11912/32223.pdfNorthern Lights Joins JCJBL for 2012 season posted 12/21/2011 by Northern Lights Board Northern Lights has joined the Jefferson County Junior Baseball League for the 2012 season for our baseball programs from U8 through U18. This will give our players the opportunity to play teams at their own level from several nearby leagues. For more info on JCJBL go to their website at JCBJL.org
WELCOME TO THE NORTHERN LIGHTS BASEBALL & SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION (NLBSA).
Many of our returning players and their parents have received a letter from the league we were previously associated with which is misleading about what we are and aren’t offering.
We are still very much providing youth baseball and softball to players aged 5-18. We now offer a wider range of recreational or league play and competitive/tournament play at levels specific to the needs of all of our players!!!!
We no longer have formal boundaries, so anyone in the area who wants to join our league is welcome and we welcome players from Thornton, Brighton, Westminster, Northglenn, Broomfield and the surrounding areas who would like to join us to experience baseball and softball as it should be played!
What do the changes mean to the average participant at NL? Not much:
· You will still get 18-24 games (unless you want more – see baseball and softball pages regarding tournament teams)
· You will still play half your games at our fields at 138th and York Street (unless you are a Tballer or a Coach Pitch player then you will play 100% of your games there)
· You still get that full uniform (returning the belt and jersey of course…) and a trophy for your registration fee (unless you make a tournament team – see baseball and softball pages regarding tournament teams)
· You’re parents still get the privilege of working the concession stand,
· We did change who you will play! No longer will we play Sherrelwood, Pearl Mack or Shaw Heights... Instead we will play teams in the Jefferson County Juniors Baseball League (JCJBL) and the Indian Peaks Girls Softball Association (IPGSA) (see the baseball and softball pages for more information on these new leagues.
WE ARE STILL OFFERING BASEBALL FOR OUR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED PLAYERS AS WELL.
We are continuing to offer this program - but will be changing the name of the program beginning with the 2012 season. Keep an eye out for the new page dedicated to this program!!!!
Please take a look at our baseball and softball information pages above for more information, schedules and important dates.
ALSO - we will be having NLBSA shopping day at Dick's Sports - it will be at the Hwy 7 and I-25 store on 2/25 - print the coupons noted on this website and you will get 10% off all baseball/softball items and then another 15% of that and anything you buy at the store - but it has to be purchased on 2/25 from this store!!!!
If you have any questions please contact
.
Have fun and PLAY BALL
